What We Do

The Information Services Department (IS) has operational, strategic and fiscal responsibility for the innovation, implementation and advancement of technology for the City of Banning.

Information Services main focal areas are:

1. Network Administration & End-User Support
2. Network Security & Website maintenance
3. Implementation & support of all City computer systems

The IS Group is customer-centered and driven by its commitment to the City employees.

IS services include:

• Wiring,
• Installation,
• And maintenance of computer & network systems
• In addition to the installation and support of standard software applications such as:
  • E-mail
  • Word processing
  • Spreadsheets

The Department supports multiple software applications and guides end-users in the use of applications, the Internet and other technology programs.
