The Planning Commission consists of 5 members appointed to staggered, 4-year terms. Commissioners are appointed by the City Council.
The Planning Commission typically meets the first Wednesday of the month in the City Council Chambers, 99 E. Ramsey Street, Banning, California 92220 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Commission is dark (no regular meeting) in August.
The Planning Commission plays a critical role in city government. Planning Commissioners make decisions and recommendations on a wide range of planning and land use matters related to subdivisions, specific plans, zone changes, public hearings, and so forth.
