Planning Commission The Planning Commission plays a critical role in city government. Planning Commissioners make decisions and recommendations on a wide range of planning and land use matters related to subdivisions, specific plans, zone changes, public hearings and so forth. The Commission is also charged with preparation of the General Plan of the City and advising the City Council on all matters concerning City planning.
