BEAUTIFY BANNING PARKS PROGRAM
In an effort to improve the aesthetic beauty of the parks in the City of Banning and to allow the community to participate in the enhancement of Banning Parks, the City has established the Beautify Banning Park’s program. This program allows individuals, local and regional businesses, churches, service groups to participate either through monetary donations through our park sponsorship program or through service as part of our Adopt a Park program.
PARK SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM –
The sponsorship program will allow for tiered sponsorship based on monetary donation level. Interested donations can be for general park improvement or directed to a specific amenity and or park. Based on the sponsorship tier, donating entities will receive designated benefits as outlined in the program.
NOTES:
- The City at its own discretion can modify the designated benefits as necessary.
- Organizations and businesses whose revenue is substantially derived from the sale of alcohol, illegal drugs or paraphernalia, weapons, tobacco products or gambling as well as any business that does not align with the City’s interests may be denied the opportunity to participate in the park’s Sponsorship Program.
ADOPT A PARK PROGRAM -
The Adopt A Park program will allow groups or individuals to perform volunteer service improving a specific park, enhancing the designated park and creating community pride and ownership. Groups participating in the Adopt A Park program must complete 4 yearly projects and or clean up events as outlined in the Adopt A Park application guidelines. Specific Parks chosen by interested groups or individuals will be selected on a first come first served basis. It is possible multiple groups will be able to adopt the same park depending on needs and potential projects.
Those interested in either program may contact the City of Banning’s Parks and Recreation Department for further information and to complete appropriate application.
