Dial-A-Ride

Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride's regular hours of operation within the City of Banning and into a small portion of the Beaumont area are:
Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Office Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. & CLOSED Friday, Saturday & Sunday
  
Persons with ADA certification can receive service by advanced registration on the following days and hours within the City of Banning and into the Beaumont area:
Monday - Friday 6 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(must have 3-ADA certified passengers in order to transport)
Sunday 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(must have 3-ADA certified passengers in order to transport)

Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride is closed on the following Holidays: New Years, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas.

Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride operates on a limited schedule for ADA Certified clients only with an advance 24 hour reservation on the following Holidays: Presidents Day, Veteran's Day, Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday and the day following Thanksgiving.

Reservations can be made by contacting the Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride office at 922-3252.
Reservations must be made no later than 3 p.m. the afternoon before the day of the trip.
(Reservations may be made as early as 21 days in advance).

For convenient after-hours service (cancellations, messages, etc...), the Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride office is equipped with voice mail.

In the event that you must cancel a reservation, please contact the Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride office as soon as possible.

"NO SHOW" Policy - Space on ADA transportation is limited and the service is costly to provide. "No Shows" occur when the rider is not ready, forgets, fails to call and cancel in advance or refuses their ride when the driver arrives. If 3 no shows accumulate in a sixty 60 day period, a 30 day  will result. Once reinstated if an additional 3 no shows occur within another sixty 60 days the suspension will be extended to 45 days. After the third infraction of 3 no shows the suspension is for sixty 60 days. If an individual continues to misuse the program, a reinstatement fee may be charged. Please be courteous to others.

The Goal of Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is to provide transportation services that promote integration and independence of persons with disabilities.

Accessibility of Banning Connect Transit System - Fixed-Route Service ADA transportation service is available within 3/4 mile of fixed-route service. The Banning Connect Transit System - fixed-route service fleet is accessible to all person with disabilities. All bus operators are trained to assist in using a lift and securing a wheelchair. Bus operators can also assist in determining the bus stop most convenient for reaching a destination.

The Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride bus may arrive up to 15 minutes before your scheduled pick up time and is not considered late until after 15 minutes, so please watch for the bus. Priority is given to passengers with ADA certification.

Wheelchairs and Mobility Devices
Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride will make every attempt to accommodate "common" wheelchairs, scooters and other mobility devices, using the definition of the ADA. However, federal law says that these devices cannot exceed 30 inches wide, 48 inches long and 600 lbs. in total weight (rider and mobility device).

WHO CAN USE BANNING CONNECT DIAL-A-RIDE?
Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride services are available to: Persons with disabilities, Frail elderly, Senior citizens (60 + years) who live 1/4 miles away from any Pass Transit Fixed Route or Persons who are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) certified.

WHAT DOES BANNING CONNECT DIAL-A-RIDE COST?
The fee is $2 per person 1 way or a 10 ride pass can be purchased for $18 from any Dial-A-Ride Driver or at the Banning Community Center located at 789 N. San Gorgonio Ave, Banning, Ca. 92220.  (Banning Connect Dial-A-ride passes are only valid on board a Banning Connect Dial-A-Ride bus).
 
The new Fare increase becomes effective April 2, 2012. A new Companion fee of $3 has also been added to the fare increase. The deadline date to trade in any old passes is May 1, 2012 after which the old passes will no longer be honored.
