Detective Bureau

The Banning Police Department’s Detective Bureau is a general Bureau where all the Detectives assigned are professionalized in several specialties. Detectives work to follow-up on criminal reports that have been forwarded by patrol officers for further investigation and carry a case load of cold crimes, missing persons and conduct investigative operations. Detectives also conduct Background Investigations for potential Police employees.

From fraud and theft to kidnapping and murder, Banning Police Detectives spend many hours following up on information, pursuing leads, and solving crimes. Detectives work hand in hand with our partnering agencies and the District Attorney’s Office to assist in the successful prosecution of criminal acts.
